NAME: Cayo Costa State Park – Restroom Replacement BID SUBMITTAL DUE DATE: No later than 3:30pm ET, Thursday, May 17, 2018 to the below address: Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Design and Construction, 3800 Commonwealth Blvd. MS520, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-3000, Attention Adam Browne, Government Operations Consultant II, Bureau of Design and Construction, (850) 245-2466. (For hand delivery: Carr Building, Welcome Desk.) The Department reserves the right to reject any or all bids. BID POSTING DATE: No later than 3:30pm ET, Thursday, May 24, 2018, unless extended by the Department for good cause. MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING: Will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. (ET), Cayo Costa State Park beach-side restroom, four (4) nautical miles west of Pine Island, Cayo Costa, FL 33922. Please contact Adam Browne at (850) 245-2466, or by e-mail at BDC_Contracts@floridadep.gov, to confirm your planned attendance. For the pre-bid meeting, access to Cayo Costa State Park will be provided by park staff from Jug Creek at 8145 Main Street, Bokeelia, Florida 33922. Boats will leave promptly at 10:00am ET from Jug Creek. INSTRUCTIONS: Documents for this bid will be available for download on April 6, 2018. Any firm desiring a Project Manual with the plans for this project may obtain directions by emailing BDC_Contracts@dep.state.fl.us SCOPE OF WORK: Base Bid: Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and permitting to demolish an existing restroom and construct a new elevated restroom and associated utilities per the contract documents. Alternate 1: Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and permitting to construct a new rinse off station located adjacent to the new restroom, including water pump upgrades, per the contract documents. Builder’s Risk Insurance is required for this project and must be included in bid price.
