PROJECT NAME: Faver-Dykes State Park – Upgrade Fishing Dock BID SUBMITTAL DUE DATE: No later than 3:30PM (ET), Tuesday, April 28, 2020, to the below address: Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Design and Construction, 3800 Commonwealth Blvd. MS520, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-3000, Attention Alyssa Skehan, Government Operations Consultant II, Bureau of Design and Construction, (850) 245-2781. (For hand delivery: Carr Building, Welcome Desk.) The Department reserves the right to reject any or all bids. BID POSTING DATE: No later than 3:30PM (ET), Tuesday, May 5, 2020, unless extended by the Department for good cause. INSTRUCTIONS: Documents for this bid will be available for download on Thursday, April 2, 2020. Any firm desiring a Project Manual with the plans for this project may obtain directions by emailing BDC_Contracts@dep.state.fl.us
SCOPE OF WORK: Base Bid: Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and permitting to repair and upgrade the existing fishing dock per the contract documents. Alternate #1: The contractor shall substitute composite 2”x6” decking material per specification section 06730 in place of the 2”x6” pressure treated decking. (Note that this price should be an add or deduct cost.) Installation Floater and Longshoreman’s Insurance is required for this project and must be included in bid price. Note: Bidder Prequalification is required for all bids. Each bidder shall provide a copy of its biennial pre-qualification letter from FDEP’s Bureau of Design and Construction. If not pre-qualified, the bidder must submit a current State Contractor license certification or registration and current Corporate Charter registration with the bid. Pursuant to Executive Order 07-126 and Section 255.252(3), F.S. the Department requires the proposed project be designed and constructed in accordance with green building standards where applicable.
