The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Florida Forest Service is seeking sealed bids for the sale of timber. This sale is a marked thinning of 453 acres of natural pine timber from Withlacoochee State Forest in Hernando County, Florida. Timber available for harvest includes all blue marked pine timber within sale boundary. The sale boundary is designated by roads, distinct stand type changes, or orange paint. All pine timber marked with orange paint is excluded from the sale and shall NOT be harvested. Estimated volumes to be removed includes 6,443 tons of pine pulpwood, 2,083 tons of chip-n-saw, and 3,162 tons of sawtimber. This will be an eighteen (18) month contract. Interested parties may obtain complete bid information by contacting Justin Draft at (352) 797-4125.The Florida Forest Service reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularity in bids received.
