The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Florida Forest Service is seeking sealed bids for the sale of timber. This is a 171 acre thinning from Etoniah Creek State Forest in Putnam County, Florida. Timber available for harvest in the sale area includes all unmarked longleaf, slash, loblolly and sand pine within the sale boundaries. Marked pine timber is not to be harvested or damaged. Sale boundaries are delineated by either a road, fireline, powerline, forest boundary, or an orange painted line. The estimated sale volumes are 4,319 tons of pine pulpwood, 907 tons of pine chip-n-saw and 2,640 tons of pine sawtimber. This will be a 12 month contract. Interested parties may obtain complete bid information by contacting Matt Kennard at (386) 329-2552.The Florida Forest Service reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularity in bids received.
