PROJECT NAME: Oleta River State Park – Sewer Connections BID SUBMITTAL DUE DATE: No later than 3:30PM (ET), Thursday, February 20, 2020, to the below address: Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Design and Construction, 3800 Commonwealth Blvd. MS520, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-3000, Attention Alyssa Skehan, Government Operations Consultant II, Bureau of Design and Construction, (850) 245-2781. (For hand delivery: Carr Building, Welcome Desk.) The Department reserves the right to reject any or all bids. BID POSTING DATE: No later than 3:30PM (ET), Thursday, February 27, 2020, unless extended by the Department for good cause. INSTRUCTIONS: Documents for this bid will be available for download on January 31, 2020. SCOPE OF WORK: Base Bid: Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and permitting to replace existing septic tanks and drainfields with a package lift station, force main, and associated gravity sewer laterals serving two (2) residences and one (1) shop building as per the contract documents. TO BE INCLUDED IN BASE PRICE: Abandonment of 3 septic system tanks is to be performed by a certified septic tank contractor per the City of North Miami Beach Building Department’s “Septic Tank Abandonment Procedure/Sewer Connection” instructions. • City of North Miami Beach Building Permit • Miami-Dade Water & Sewer Department • City of North Miami Beach Public Services Department • Florida Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services (Health Dept.) Instructions for obtaining these authorizations, and the fees to be paid by the contractor are explained in the City of North Miami Beach Building Department’s “Septic Tank Abandonment Procedure/Sewer Connection” instructions included in the bid documents as 3-Septic Tank Procedure-61191C.pdf. Installation Floater Insurance is required for this project and must be included in bid price. Note: Bidder Prequalification is required for all bids. Each bidder shall provide a copy of its biennial pre-qualification letter from FDEP’s Bureau of Design and Construction. If not pre-qualified, the bidder must submit a current State Contractor license certification or registration and current Corporate Charter registration with the bid. Pursuant to Executive Order 07-126 and Section 255.252(3), F.S. the Department requires the proposed project be designed and constructed in accordance with green building standards where applicable.
