The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Florida Forest Service is seeking sealed bids for the sale of timber. This sale is a biomass of 165 acres of hardwoods on the Watermelon Pond Tract of Goethe State Forest in Levy County, Florida. The use of an onsite chipper or grinder will be required. Timber to be harvested in this area will be hardwoods and a two acre stand of offsite slash pine. All hardwoods marked with blue paint will not be harvested. Sale boundaries for the harvest will be CR 335 to the south, boundary lines to the east and north, and marked roads and trails to the west and north. There is no estimated volume of fuelwood. This will be a twelve (12) month contract.
