Drawbridge operations

The District is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of three waterway navigation locks, dams and spillways located within the Ocklawaha River Basin. The locks are in operation the entire year, during specified hours. The locks provide for vessel passage through the Ocklawaha River, Haines Creek and the Apopka-Beauclair Canal and are controlled by upstream and downstream miter gates and slide gates.
