PROJECT NAME: Oscar Scherer State Park – Bridge to Campground MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING: Will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 10:00am (ET), at the Oscar Scherer State Park, 1843 South Tamiami Trail, Osprey, FL 34229. BID SUBMITTAL DUE DATE: No later than 3:30PM (ET), Thursday, March 28, 2019 to the below address: Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Design and Construction, 3800 Commonwealth Blvd. MS520, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-3000, Attention Alyssa Skehan, Government Operations Consultant II, Bureau of Design and Construction, (850) 245-2781. (For hand delivery: Carr Building, Welcome Desk.) The Department reserves the right to reject any or all bids. BID POSTING DATE: No later than 3:30PM (ET), Tuesday, April 4, 2019 unless extended by the Department for good cause. INSTRUCTIONS: Documents for this bid will be available for download on Thursday, February 21, 2019. SCOPE OF WORK: Base Bid: Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and permitting to remove the existing timber bridge and supports, provide complete steel truss and concrete deck designs, install the pre-fabricated steel truss, concrete decking, abutments and approaches per the contract plans, specification, and to comply with all permit conditions. Builder’s Risk and Longshoreman’s Insurance is required for this project and must be included in bid price. Note: Bidder Prequalification is required for all bids. Each bidder shall provide a copy of its biennial pre-qualification letter from FDEP’s Bureau of Design and Construction. If not pre-qualified, the bidder must submit a current State Contractor license certification or registration and current Corporate Charter registration with the bid.
