The state-funded Challenge Grant, authorized by s. 420.622(4), F.S., is designed to meet crucial housing, program, and service needs in the CoC. The TANF Homelessness Prevention Grant, authorized by s. 414.161, F.S., provides emergency financial assistance to prevent homelessness among eligible families in Florida. The federally funded Emergency Solutions Grant, identified in federal regulations, 24 CFR 576, provides funding for activities such as street outreach, emergency shelter, homelessness prevention, and rapid rehousing assistance.
