The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Florida Forest Service is seeking sealed bids for the sale of timber. This is a marked thinning of approximately 349 acres of planted slash pine with scattered natural longleaf pine from Blackwater River State Forest (SFI Certified Forest #NSF-SFI-FM-C0245755) in Santa Rosa County and Okaloosa County, Florida. Timber marked with blue paint is to be harvested. All unmarked timber and/or timber with light overspray is not to harvested or damaged. Areas of pine regeneration should be avoided. Estimated volumes for the sale are as follows: 2,127 tons of pine pulpwood, 1,639 tons of pine chip-n-saw, 2,258 tons of pine saw timber, and 251 tons of poles. Sale area boundaries are marked with double dots of orange paint. This will be a 12 month contract.
