PROJECT NAME: Colt Creek State Park – Campground Road Paving MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING: Will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2017 at 11:00am (ET), at the Colt Creek State Park, Blue Heron pavilion, 16000 SR 471, Lakeland, FL 33809. BID SUBMITTAL DUE DATE: No later than 3:30 PM (ET), Wednesday, October 10, 2018 to the below address: Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Design and Construction, 3800 Commonwealth Blvd. MS520, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-3000, Attention Alyssa Skehan, Government Operations Consultant II, Bureau of Design and Construction, (850) 245-2781. (For hand delivery: Carr Building, Welcome Desk.) The Department reserves the right to reject any or all bids. BID POSTING DATE: No later than 3:30 PM (ET), Wednesday, October 17, 2018, unless extended by the Department for good cause. INSTRUCTIONS: Documents for this bid will be available for download on Thursday, August 30, 2018. Any firm desiring a Project Manual with the plans for this project may obtain directions by emailing BDC_Contracts@dep.state.fl.us SCOPE OF WORK: Base Bid: The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and permitting to successfully level, compact, stabilize, and build crown into road prior to paving the existing entry/exit, approximately 4,400 linear feet RV campground access and loop road and pavement striping, including new 7” lime rock compacted base per FDOT specification to accommodate new paving at the grass island in front of the bathhouse, as per the contract documents. Alternate #1: The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and permitting to successfully install 1.5” thick layer compacted #89 pea sized 3/8” granite at the aprons from the roadway edge to the gravel RV campsite pad edge per the contract documents. Alternate #2: The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and permitting to successfully level, compact, stabilize, and pave the aprons from the roadway edge to the gravel RV campsite pad edge per the contract documents. Asphalt shall finish level with existing gravel RV campsite pad. Alternate #3: The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and permitting to successfully level, compact, stabilize, and build crown into road prior to paving the existing approximately 5,600 linear feet equestrian campground access road from the end of the base bid access road to the equestrian campground as per the contract documents. FDEP will be responsible for obtaining the Southwest Water Management District permit exemption. If this alternate is accepted 30 days will be added to the date of Substantial Completion. An Installation Floater is required for this project and must be included in bid price.
