The Department is seeking a consultant to assist with a multi-phase project as part of the Florida Statewide Digital Initiative. The purpose of the project is to provide a status update on the Statewide Digital Initiative, including interest and ability of partners to participate in the project, suggest revised methods to move forward on the Initiative and the Statewide Digital Action Plan using information gathered from the five Multitype Library Cooperatives (MLCs), Florida Academic Library Services Cooperative, the Sunshine State Digital Network for the Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) and the Division of Library and Information Services (DLIS); recommend a single Digital Repository Software to be used in creating a statewide digital platform; and recommend a plan specific to DLIS that addresses its digitization efforts, staffing and equipment needs, preservation requirements, and participation in DPLA.
