The District’s core mission for water quality requires an understanding of the sources of anthropogenic change within the Indian River Lagoon (IRL) to implement strategies to remediate impacts and/or reduce ecosystem stressors. Extensive projects are in place both to remediate and assess impacts from watershed loading to the IRL, but some effects may be caused by changes in flushing frequency, location and magnitude. Through this project, the Successful Respondent will conduct baseline biological assessments in an area likely to be influenced by a future pilot project to assess flushing value in the lagoon. The estimated budget for the monitoring project is $86,000.Request for Proposal packages may be obtained from Onvia DemandStar (www.demandstar.com), Vendor Registry at Vendorregistry.com, or the District by calling or emailing Alan Weaver at (386) 329-4271 or aweaver@sjrwmd.com (email preferred please include company name, contact, address, and contact information in the email to keep you informed of future revisions and addendums.
