Request authority to contract with Omnicom, Inc., for professional engineering services to the Florida Highway Patrol for modifying the Florida Department of Transportation Motorist Aid Call Box System. The modifications are required because of the consolidation of FHP communications centers. Omnicom, Inc., is the designer of record for the State’s Motorist Aide Call Box System and is most familiar with how the system is configured. Therefore, it is in the State’s best interest to have Omnicom, Inc., develop the design for the modification. The $29,700 contract amount is funded by DHSMV. Attachment #7. Recommend.
