2. Adoption of a resolution authorizing the competitive sale and delivery of not exceeding $200,000,000 State of Florida, Full Faith and Credit, State Board of Education, Public Education Capital Outlay Bonds, 2001 Series [to be determined].

Charter School Issues

3. Academic Bridge Charter School vs. Manatee County School Board

On December 17, 2001, the Manatee County School Board voted to deny the original application submitted on October 1, 2001. At the applicant's request, the application deadline was extended at the same meeting to December 21, 2001, and the School Board agreed to consider the applicant's revised application. On January 28, 2002, the Manatee County School Board voted to deny the revised Academic Bridge Charter School Application. This appeal is brought to the State Board of Education, pursuant to Section 228.056, Florida Statutes, which includes provisions governing the appeal process for charter schools.
