1. Request approval of the minutes for the meeting held August 14, 2001.

2. Request approval of proposed personnel Rule Chapters 60L-29 through 60L-39.

Section 42 of Senate Bill 466 provides, "All existing rules relating to Chapter 110, Florida Statutes, are statutorily repealed January 1, 2002, unless otherwise readopted" (now codified at Section 110.1055, Florida Statutes). This legislation affects among other things the rules in the 60K, 60L, 60M, and 60N series of the Florida Administrative Code, which contain rules addressing, respectively, the Career Service (CS) System, the Personnel Management System, the Selected Exempt Service (SES), and the Senior Management Service (SMS). In lieu of readopting the existing rules, the Department of Management Services has opted to promulgate new rules. The Department proposes to include the rules in the 60L series of the Florida Administrative Code beginning with the next available chapter, 60L-29, and to have them apply across the three pay plans (CS, SES, and SMS) unless otherwise specifically indicated in a particular rule or section.

60L-33 Appointments and Status
60L-34 Attendance and Leave
60L-35 Career Pathing
60L-36 Conduct of Employees
60L-37 Savings Sharing Program
60L-38 State Child Care Program
60L-39 Florida State Employees' Charitable Campaign
