Introduction

Welcome to the Florida Department of Revenue on-line information page for filing and paying your motor fuel taxes electronically. This site provides instruction on how registered and enrolled Terminal Suppliers, Terminal Operators, Wholesalers/Importers, Petroleum Carriers, Exporters, Blenders and Retailers of Alternative Fuel, Local Governments, and Mass Transit Service Providers may complete, file their returns and submit their payments electronically.

"Registered and enrolled" refers to a taxpayer who has registered with the Department (received a license number) to collect/report tax, and has enrolled in the e-Services program (received a User ID and Password) to file/pay taxes electronically.

Penalty for Failing to File and Pay Electronically

File & Pay - Section 206.485, Florida Statutes, imposes a $5,000 penalty for each month a taxpayer fails to file and pay electronically. The penalty applies to licensed terminal operators, terminal suppliers, wholesalers/importers, blenders/retailers of alternative fuel, exporters, and petroleum carriers.

Pay Only - Section 213.755, Florida Statutes, require Local Government, Mass Transit Service Providers, and licensed Pollutant Tax filers to pay tax electronically to the Department.

See “Who must file and pay tax electronically” for additional information on electronic filing and paying requirements.

Enrollment

Licensed motor fuel filers must enroll for e-Services before they can file and pay electronically. If you are already enrolled to pay tax electronically, you must update your e-Services enrollment profile to include electronic filing.
