To Start the Child Support Enforcement Process:
We need the noncustodial parent's social security number, date of birth, employer address, and mailing/residential address. If this information is not known, the computer system automatically searches the following sources:
- Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV)
- Department of Labor and Employment Security (DLES)
- Social Security Administration
- State of Florida Comptroller's Office (State Employees)
- Water Products License
- Department of Children & Families (Client Registration)
- Florida Department of Corrections (Prisoners)
Additionally, we request information from:
- Utility companies
- Jails or prisons
- Armed Forces
- Schools
- Employers
- Local Post Offices
When we receive the needed information, we can take appropriate action to establish or enforce a child support order.
