Division of Certified Public Accounting
Reactivation
Reactivating a delinquent or inactive license requires that the licensee complete the continuing professional education credits for all years since the licensee last held an active license, plus completing hours for the current period, passing an open book laws and rules examination, and paying the appropriate fees.
In order to receive a reactivation package, please send a written request along with a 10x13 self-addressed envelope affixed with $3.00 postage to: Division of Certified Public Accounting, Board of Accountancy, 240 NW 76th Drive, Suite A, Gainesville, FL 32607.
Null and void licensees must meet the new rule education requirements and successfully retake the CPA examination before they will be issued a license. However, null and void licensees who can demonstrate substantial hardship can petition the board to be allowed to reactivate a null and void license.
A licensee must submit their petition in writing, including an explanation for the hardship, to the Division of Certified Public Accounting. Petitions will be placed on the next regularly scheduled board agenda and the licensee will be notified of the Board’s decision.
