The CIO Association plays an important role in the ability of Florida State Government to meet the evolving challenge of providing cost effective technology solutions for our diverse business needs. A primary role of the Association is to improve the coordination and communication among agency CIOs, the Primary Data Centers, the Technology Review Workgroup, and others.
Through active involvement in the numerous current enterprise initiatives, such as Data Center, E-mail, and IT Procurement consolidation, and through providing leadership in recommending strategies, standards and best practices, the CIO association is well-positioned to play a relevant and growing role in reducing overall IT costs without sacrificing the service that we provide our customers. The association is uniquely qualified to share our success stories as well.
The efficiencies in Florida State Government could not exist without technology successes. Through better understanding and awareness of these successes, we can all learn new ways to maximize efficiencies within our agencies and foster information sharing and the mutual respect necessary to reach our highest potential.
