As Mayor of the City of Cape Canaveral and on behalf of the City Council, City Manager, and City staff, we welcome you to our website.

The City of Cape Canaveral was incorporated in 1962, and has grown into a lovely close-knit community. Our residents enjoy a friendly, home-town atmosphere, filled with civic pride.

You will find the beauty of the beach just minutes away, with direct access at the end of most city streets or through Cherie Down Park. Our city Parks and Recreation Department offers many activities including racquetball, shuffleboard, tennis, bridge, and dancing. If you are a resident of the City, we encourage you to become aware of and involved in our City Government. The city's Advisory Boards offer you an opportunity to actively participate in the community. Cape Canaveral is proud of its active volunteer program. Our volunteers provide support in civic projects such as tree and mangrove plantings and city-wide painting and restoration. Perhaps you will find an area of interest in which you can provide assistance. We encourage you to attend a City Council or City Advisory Board meeting listed on the Public Meeting Schedule.
