on Wednesday, August 9 (1st day of school).
Regular Hours: Monday through Friday
from 3 P.M. to 6 P.M.; Saturdays from 12 Noon to 6 P.M. [Check below for Summer Hours.]

AIKIDO - A non-aggressive martial art
based on the principle of non-resistance. Does not require physical
strength to be effective. Meets 2 times a week - Tuesdays 6-7 p.m. and Fridays 6-7:30 p.m. Monthly fee $35
residents/$38 others. Instructor is John Hughes.

BALLROOM DANCE – The Disco Hustle will continue in June and will be taught on Mondays
from 7-7:30 p.m., which includes a half hour of practice following the
instruction. The East Coast Swing will begin August 4. Fee is
$60.00. Laura Beers is the instructor. Come alone or bring a partner. No class on 7/9.

JAZZERCISE- Dance fitness program focuses on
coordination, balance, flexibility, posture and muscle tone. Also
concentrates on aerobic
activity and improving cardiovascular fitness. Classes meet on Monday
and Wednesday, 5:30-6:30 p.m. and Saturday 8:30-9:30 a.m. Monthly
fee is $35 residents/$38 others. There is a one time $25.00 sign up fee.

KARATE Classes are held from 4-5 p.m. on Mondays,
Wednesdays & Thursdays. Monthly fee is $40 residents/$43

$69 sign up fee includes the 1st month of instruction, a uniform, training DVD,

The Parks and Recreation Department, under the
Director's supervision, organizes and operates all the
recreation facilities within the city. There are two
active facilities: the recreation center consists of (5) tennis courts,
(4) four-wall racquetball courts and (12)
shuffleboard courts, all lighted. The facility is open 364 days a year,
weather
permitting. In addition to open play on the courts,
tournaments and organized leagues are available to the participants. T
he recreation center building houses the
administrative offices as well as a meeting and assembly room where a
wide
variety of children and adult special interest
classes are held. This department provides support services to local
athletic
groups, community service organizations and the recreation advisory board.

children's playground with a 20' x 20' pavilion and a lighted basketball
court. Also on this site is a youth center which is open after school
and during school vacations to give the youth in the community an opportunity
to participate in supervised activities.
