FLOOD INSURANCE OUTREACH PROJECT

This letter is to inform residents located in special flood Hazard Zone areas, as depicted on the Federal Emergency Management Agencies National Flood Insurance rate map, in conjunction with the National Flood Insurance Program, as to the location where information about flood zones can be obtained.

This information is available at local banks, realtors, and the Cape Canaveral Public Library. Documents pertaining to building protection measures, design guidelines for flood damage reduction, floodplain management and hazard mitigation are available at the Library and the Building Department.

City staff will also answer any questions and provide handout information pertaining to local zoning ordinances and other pertinent information for local citizens and the general public.
