Definition of swimming pool
From Section 110-1
Swimming pool
means any portable pool or permanent structure containing a body of water 18 inches or more in depth or 250 square feet of surface area or more of water service area, including an ornamental reflecting pool or fish pond or other type of pool, regardless of size, unless it is located and designed so as not to create a hazard or not be used for swimming or wading.
