Section 98-93. Boundary line survey.

The subdivision boundary line survey shall conform to the following:

(1) Closure.

a. The angular error of closure shall not exceed one minute times the square root of the number of observations.

b. The linear error of closure shall not exceed one foot in 5,000 feet.

c. The closure error shall be adjusted by the transit method.

(2) Marking boundary lines. Corners and/or angles in property lines shall be marked with four-inch by four-inch by 30-inch concrete monuments with 2 1/4-inch brass caps. The concrete monuments shall be reinforced with a no. 4 steel rod.

(3) Computations. Two copies of computations of closure shall be submitted for the approval of the city engineer.
