Runoff from impervious areas in the stormwater management system shall be directed to retention areas, detention devices or filtering and cleansing devices, and it shall be subject to best management practices prior to discharge from the project site. Where practical, swales should be used instead of curb and gutter. For projects which include substantial paved areas, provision shall be made for the removal of oil, grease and sediment from the discharge.
