This article addresses stormwater management in order to protect, maintain and enhance the health, safety and general welfare of the citizens of the city. The intent of this article is to protect surface water, groundwater and other natural resources by ensuring that stormwater runoff peak discharge rates, volumes and pollutant loadings are no greater after development than before and that precautions are taken to prevent erosion sedimentation, flooding and water pollution.
