Any person who knowingly violates any provision of this article, including refusal to allow a law enforcement officer to make an inspection under this article, shall, upon conviction, be punished according to law and shall be subject to a fine not exceeding the sum of $500.00 or imprisonment in the county jail for a period of not exceeding 60 days, or both such fine and imprisonment.
