| The City of Cape Canaveral contracts with the Brevard County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) for police service. The BCSO has established a separate Police Precinct, located at 111 Polk Avenue for the City's operations. Commander Doug Scragg is the commanding officer. | |||||||||||
| The Brevard County School Board has contributed $26,341 towards the operating expense of the school Resource Officer, located at Capeview Elementary School. The balance of this resource officer is paid through the Law Enforcement Trust Fund. | |||||||||||
| This budget includes two new deputy positions, starting in October of 2006. The overall budget of the Police Contract increased $433,835. Capital for these new positions is budgeted in the Capital Expansion Fund. Additionally, $32,073 is established for a Building Reserve. | |||||||||||
