INSTRUCTIONS: Documents for this bid will be available for download on Friday, September 6, 2019. Any firm desiring a Project Manual with the plans for this project may obtain directions by emailing BDC_Contracts@dep.state.fl.us

SCOPE OF WORK:

Base Bid:

Contractor shall provide all materials, equipment, permitting and supervision necessary to repair the first seven bents and six spans (approximately 133 linear feet) of the existing Upper Concrete ”T” Dock at Lignumvitae Key, shall repair spalled areas, demolish and replace the severely damaged Double T panels, and re-construct as shown in the construction documents, and on Sheet S102. All lumber to be pressure treated wood #2 SYP, or better. All repair work to be done within the same footprint as a portion of the existing concrete dock. Existing Upper Concrete “T” Dock piles are to remain and be reused. Provide ADA Compliant Handrail where slopes are 1:20, or greater.

Alternate 1:

Contractor shall provide all materials, equipment, permitting and supervision necessary to demolish and reconstruct the Lower “L” Dock at Lignumvitae Key using 5/4” P.T. for the decking, as shown in the construction documents, and on sheet S201. All lumber to be pressure treated wood #2 SYP, or better. All repair work to be done within the same footprint as the existing Lower “L” Dock. All Lower “L” Dock piles are to be new and shall be placed in the same footprint as the existing pile. Provide ADA Compliant Handrail where slopes are 1:20, or greater.

Alternate 2:

Contractor shall provide all materials, equipment, permitting and supervision necessary to repair the remaining eight bents and seven spans (approximately 160 linear feet) of the existing Upper Concrete ”T” Dock at Lignumvitae Key, shall repair spalled areas, demolish and replace the severely damaged Double T panels, and re-construct as shown in the construction documents, and on Sheet S102. All lumber to be pressure treated wood #2 SYP, or better. All repair work to be done within the same footprint as a portion of the existing concrete dock. Existing Upper Concrete “T” Dock piles are to remain and be reused. Provide ADA Compliant Handrail where slopes are 1:20, or greater.

Installation Floater and Longshoreman’s Insurance is required for this project and must be included in bid price.

Note: Bidder Prequalification is required for all bids. Each bidder shall provide a copy of its biennial pre-qualification letter from FDEP’s Bureau of Design and Construction. If not pre-qualified, the bidder must submit a current State Contractor license certification or registration and current Corporate Charter registration with the bid.
