PROJECT NAME: Big Lagoon State Park – Boat Ramp Area Improvements MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING: Will be held at 11:00 AM (CST), Thursday, April 11, 2019, at the entrance parking area for Big Lagoon State Park, 12301 Gulf Beach Highway, Pensacola, FL 32507. BID SUBMITTAL DUE DATE: No later than 3:30PM (ET), Tuesday, April 30, 2019, to the below address: Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Design and Construction, 3800 Commonwealth Blvd. MS520, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-3000, Attention Alyssa Skehan, Government Operations Consultant II, Bureau of Design and Construction, (850) 245-2781. (For hand delivery: Carr Building, Welcome Desk.) The Department reserves the right to reject any or all bids. BID POSTING DATE: No later than 3:30PM (ET), Tuesday, May 8, 2019, unless extended by the Department for good cause. INSTRUCTIONS: Documents for this bid will be available for download on Monday, March 25, 2019. Any firm desiring a Project Manual with the plans for this project may obtain directions by emailing BDC_Contracts@dep.state.fl.us SCOPE OF WORK: Base Bid: The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and permitting to demolish existing restroom building and parking lot, construct new restroom facility, new asphalt parking lot, and new boat ramp, and other associated work per the contract documents. Builder’s Risk and Longshoreman’s Insurance is required for this project and must be included in bid price. Note: Bidder Prequalification is required for all bids. Each bidder shall provide a copy of its biennial pre-qualification letter from FDEP’s Bureau of Design and Construction. If not pre-qualified, the bidder must submit a current State Contractor license certification or registration and current Corporate Charter registration with the bid.
