(For hand delivery: Carr Building, Welcome Desk.) The Department reserves the right to reject any or all bids. BID POSTING DATE: No later than Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 3:30PM unless extended by the Department for good cause. MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING: Will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 1:30 PM (EST), at the Apalachicola National Estuary Resource Reserve (ANERR), Multi-Purpose Room, 108 Island Drive, Eastpoint, FL 32328. INSTRUCTIONS: Documents for this bid will be available for download on Monday, August 20, 2018. Any firm desiring a Project Manual with the plans for this project may obtain directions by emailing BDC_Contracts@dep.state.fl.us SCOPE OF WORK: Base Bid: Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and permitting to construct a “living shoreline” along approximately 1,400-ft of Apalachicola Bay shoreline in Eastpoint, Franklin County, FL. The primary component of the project includes construction of two segmented low-crested breakwaters extending to the north and south from an existing rock breakwater. The proposed breakwater shall be comprised of stone-filled high-density poly ethylene (HDPE) marine mattresses. Additional project components include installation of waterway warning signs per the contract documents. Longshoreman’s Insurance is required for this project and must be included in bid price.
