The Prevention Partnership Grants (PPG) program, created by s. 397.99, F.S., is designed to encourage school and community substance abuse prevention partnerships. The PPG program is funded through the federal Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Block Grant (Block Grant), administered by the Florida Department of Children and Families (Department). The PPG program funds rigorous, effective, evidence-based substance abuse prevention programs and strategies intended to prevent or reduce Florida substance use and abuse rates at the community level. Successful applications should demonstrate a clear, precise connection between local community contributing factors that impact prevention and current need for the program or strategy selected. PPG grants will be awarded for a three-year period.
