The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Florida Forest Service is seeking sealed bids for the sale of timber. This is a restoration harvest of approximately 187 acres of pine and hardwood from Etoniah Creek State Forest in Putnam County, Florida. Timber available for harvest includes all sand pine, loblolly pine, slash pine and merchantable hardwood (excluding live oaks and longleaf pine). Live oaks and longleaf pine are not to be harvested or damaged. The sale boundaries are delineated by forest roads, firelines, a blue painted line or the forest boundary. The estimated sale volumes are 1,793 tons of pine pulpwood, 1,005 tons of chip-n-saw, 421 tons of sawtimber and 486 tons of hardwood pulpwood. This will be a twelve (12) month contract.
