Section 215.559, Florida Statutes, established the Hurricane Loss Mitigation Program. A portion of the funding for this program is to be used to inspect and improve tie downs for mobile and manufactured homes. The intent and purpose of the request is to secure contracts with qualified vendors to provide windstorm safety enhancements (tie downs) to manufactured/mobile homes for Individual Homeowners around the state. This is a pilot project, which will assess the ability to serve individual homeowners throughout the State of Florida in the most effective and cost efficient manner possible. During fiscal year 2017-2018, it is anticipated that approximately 200 manufactured/mobile homes will be eligible statewide in this pilot.

PRE-PROPOSAL CONFERENCE:

A. A pre-proposal conference, will be held as a webinar, date, time and login information will be provided on TCC’s Purchasing Website as specified, open to all interested parties, at which time the College’s Residential Construction Mitigation Program staff will be present to answer questions and explain the intent of the RFP documents.

B. At this meeting, suggested modifications may be discussed with the College’s representative(s) as a possible addendum to the RFP however, formal questions must be submitted via e-mail to Cheri Davis davische@tcc.fl.edu in the TCC Purchasing Office.

C. Any conclusions reached at this conference which amend the RFP

documents will be issued in the form of an addendum to all proposers.
