Juvenile Justice

The mission of the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) is to increase public safety by reducing juvenile delinquency through effective prevention, intervention and treatment services that strengthen families and turn around the lives of troubled youth.

The juvenile justice system must provide strong prevention and early intervention services for at-risk youth and minor offenders. A balanced approach also must supply opportunities for rehabilitation for the more serious juvenile offender.
