More about Preventive Care and Immunization Benefits
- For children: State group health plans cover pediatric preventive care and immunizations as recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practice and the American Academy of Pediatrics in accordance with Florida Statutes s.627.6579.
- For adults: State group health plans cover services based on prevailing medical standards and recommendations as well as U.S. Preventive Task Force active recommendations and American Academy of Family Physicians recommendations for an adult who has no symptoms or risk factors. The frequency of services covered is based on your age and gender and may vary depending on certain risk factors, such as family history.
*If the primary purpose of the office visit is the delivery of such an item or service the plan may not impose cost-sharing.
